About

A loc studio for the long road.

Sinachi runs a small, appointment-only loc studio in Abraka, Delta State. What started as a chair for friends in her mother's living room is a quiet room of its own now.

The story

Sinachi cut off her relaxed hair on a Tuesday. By Friday she had started locs with two combs and the wrong kind of gel. The first year was a series of small failures that taught her how Black hair actually wants to be treated.

Somewhere in the middle of that mess she stopped asking what locs should look like and started learning what they could do. Friends sat in her chair. Friends of friends followed. A waitlist became a calendar, a calendar became a studio.

The studio has moved twice. The philosophy has not. One client at a time. No double-booking. Honest pricing. Conversation if you want it, silence if you do not.

Sinachi.

Sinachi is the loctician and owner of Sinachi Locs and Styles. She has been opening, retwisting, and styling locs in Abraka since 2021, and she takes one client at a time, on purpose.

Trained on her own hair first, then on friends, she built the studio around the kind of long, honest conversations that make a year-long loc journey feel less alone.

House rules

The four things that do not change.

  • 01

    One client at a time.

Your appointment is yours. No overlap, no triple-booking, no rushing you out the chair.

  • 02

    Prices on the wall.

What you see online is what you pay in the chair. No surprise add-ons, no commissioned upselling.

  • 03

    Hair before money.

If a service will damage your hair, I will tell you and turn down the booking. Long-term over short-term, always.

  • 04

    You are not the work.

You are the person whose hair we are working on. We will talk, or not, on your terms.
